Right after we met the President,
we were off to Washington with our "Show of Hands" banner. A grant we received
from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Medical Society of New Jersey
allowed us to participate in the Smithsonian's Annual Kite Flying Contest
on March 30th 1996 and again in 1997. We carried our banner, wore shirts
with our C.O.S.T. logo, and flew hand made kites bearing anti-smoking messages.
After returning from our trip, we were able to get our message out to more
people by appearing on television. |
