Members of C.O.S.T. led hundreds of students in a march to the state's capital. As we marched we shouted, "Tobacco Free, You and Me!" Thousands of "smoke free" pledges collected by the marchers were delivered to the State House by fire trucks.

| One of our favorite events was held on November 19, 1998. The N.J. American
Cancer Society and the N.J. Department of Health and Senior Services hosted
an anti-tobacco rally at the State House in Trenton. The rally was a celebration
of the Society's Annual Great American Smokeout. |
